Now, the big news is that many Bollywood and Tollywood producers are vying for the film’s remake rights. We hear that Salman Khan has shown keen interest to acquire its remake rights to produce it by his home banner, besides acting in the lead role in Hindi. Close aides of Mohan Raja confirm that a special screening of TO was held in Mumbai for the top decision makers of Salman’s production company on Tuesday. Apparently, he will be watching it  today (on Wednesday), and insiders say that they are considering bringing Mohan Raja on board for directing the Hindi remake as well.

The psychological thriller Thani Oruvan opened to unanimously positive reviews from critics and movie goers alike and is also doing well in countries like USA and Australia. Hence, the big news is that many Bollywood and Tollywood producers are eyeing for the film’s remake rights. it was reported that famed Hindi actor Salman Khan, along with his team, watched Thani Oruvan and is more than impressed with the story line, We even hear that Salman Khan has shown keen interest to acquire its remake rights to produce it by his home banner, besides acting in the lead role in Hindi. They are considering on to rope in Mohan Raja to direct the Hindi version of Thani Oruvan. If everything goes well, top Telugu actors are being approached to reprise the roles originally portrayed by Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy.

Ajith who is busy with Thala 56 was spotted in Navalur where the actor was seen shooting combination scenes with Lakshmi Menon.

Even before Siva has completed filming the movie, all the distribution rights for Thala 56 have already gotten sold out like hot cakes. It is said that the film has Ajith acting as a taxi driver with salt and pepper look and Shruthi Hassan  as a lawyer, and also stars Lakshmi Menon in a homely look, Suri is in charge for comic, Rahul Dev, among others. Music for this flick is composed by Anirudh and the young musician has already recorded two songs for the film, produced by AM Ratnam. Shooting for climax action sequence is under way, in Binny mills in Chennai.

While Pondicherry Suresh has already bagged the distribution rights for North and South Arcot regions, MK Enterprises has acquired the rights for Chennai and Chengalpet regions. Rights for Madurai, Thirunelveli, Tuticorin, Coimbatore, Pondicherry and Salem regions have been clinched by Sushma Cine Arts; Ayankaran International has bagged the international distribution rights. Discussions are under way, regarding the rights for Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana regions, and news on this front can be expected any time soon

Namita, who took a break from Tamil films for more than four years, has now decided to make a comeback. It is said that she didn't take up films in Tamil as she was waiting for the right script. Meanwhile, when she was not seen in Kollywood she was busy acting in Kannada films. We now hear that the actress has signed two films, one in Tamil and another film in Kannada.


A source close to the actress confirmed the news saying, "After going through many scripts, the actress has now signed a women-oriented film in Tamil, which will be directed by a debutant director. Other details will be offcially announced by the makers of the film. She is set to shoot for a Kannada film, too."
